Resetting a password

You can reset a password for end users regardless of the status of the Login. End users may request a new password if they forgot the old one or suspect that it was compromised.

To reset a password

  1. Search for the end user's record.
  2. Validate the end user’s identity according to FI policy.
  3. In the Login pane, select Send password reset.
  4. Note: If the Send password reset button is unavailable, no SAC target exists for this user. See Managing SAC contacts.
  5. Select a delivery target to receive the password reset.
  6. Select Send password reset. A message appears indicating the temporary password was sent.
